Q&A: How to reduce sweating?

Posted by Ask Salomon in Stop Sweating

This is one of my insecurity! It’s holding me back from doing stuff. Stuff like joining sports in school. Even before practicing, I sweat like crazy. It gotten so bad, that I had to quit the team. I know sweating is natural and healthy for me, but I don’t want it because it causes acne! How can I reduce sweating so much? P.S I have a fit body not overweight if that has something to do with it and I tend to sweat from my face the most. I also drink lots of water.

Well it sounds like you may have a condition known as Hyperhidrosis. By chance does any of your other family members have trouble with sweating? Your mom or dad?

You see Hyperhidrosis can be hereditary.

There are several ways to reduce sweating and just one of the ways is hygiene. There is a really cool resource I found about Hyperhidrosis and how to reduce sweating. I will attach the link below.

Hope this helped.

How do I convince my parents to stop smoking?

Posted by Ask Salomon in Stop Smoking

My parents don’t believe in second hand smoke no matte how hard I try to convince them, and every time I bring smoking up they get angry at me and yell at me. I need to stop them… What should I do?

I hate that for you! It’s their right to choose to smoke, but that doesn’t mean they have to subject you to it. Second-hand smoke is very real. It kills something like 56,000 people in the U.S. every year and causes other health problems. Just stay away from it as much as you can, because they aren’t going to quit because of something you say unfortunately. My mom has been a smoker for almost 40 years. When I was pregnant I asked her to not smoke in my apartment and her response was, “But I’m your mother.” I flat out told her that it didn’t make a difference whose smoke it was, I didn’t want it around me.
