After looking into this site alittle more and signing up Ive come up with the following review:

Layout:

Very simple layout with some good pic’s to frame the site nicely, I do like the colours as they do make you feel like it has been made professionally.

Content:

The content isnt really a issue on this site as its mainly “click here to earn money” which is a good thing. I do like the idea you just need to put your e-mail in first, saves time when your domain isnt allowed because its a freebe one (its happend alot to me).

The only thing which is missing from the site is “Your e-mail will not be sold or given out”, I used my hotmail account because it doesnt say that. Now I dont mind if I have to sign up to get money from these other companies, but Im doing it myself, now allowing other people just to sell my e-mail address

Ease of use:

Very easy, simply “click click paste done” site which allows you to make money (slowly). Would recommend it

Over all:

I do like these sorta sites, but they take so long to make anything from. I do like it but because you havent given a clear view on how your going to use my e-mail (if your going to sell it to companies who will spam me or just keep it on record) it makes me feel alittle unease using it.

I give it (because of that reason - sorry)

3 out of 5 happy faces!

Review Writer: larnau

Website: RevieGame Dealer X
Review Requested: here by Neorics

First impression:
Game Dealer X is a forum made for online game players or ex-players. Here you can buy, sell, trade and auction online game items and accounts. At first glance, the website looks very cool; the black background creates a mysterious ambiance and its dark allure brings the user deep within the enchantment of the latests video games.

Look and Layout:
In general the layout is nicely presented; the few ads do not interfere with the core business. The logo and beautiful graphic combination on the main header could look awesome, but unfortunately, the site’s name is only partially visible because its color blends with the background.

Staff Arrangements:
The staff page is a nice addition to this site, nicely presented and with plenty of points of contact, that should give a positive impression to the visitor. The Global moderator names could be in a different color, the electric blue against the black background is not easily readable.

Search Engine Optimization:
The Search Engine Optimization looks good.
Although I am not familiar with the Simple Machines Forum engine, I can tell by looking at the URL s, dynamic Keywords and descriptions that the mode installed for Search Engine Optimization is doing a good job.

Guidelines and Rules:

The rules are clearly defined; no one can go wrong if they read them at least once, as nicely required.

Recommendations:
Work on the light and color of the site’s name on the header. Perhaps a different color would make it pop up from the background graphics and create a more interesting effect. As it is now, you can’t tell where you are unless you read through the welcome text or check the url in your browser. (sad)
It’s a bit annoying that every link from the navigation left sidebar opens in a new window; I personally would prefer to see them open in the same window. (But this may be the way it works as default from SMF ?).

Conclusion:

Game Dealer X is a nice site with lots of potential, its founder Neorics and its dedicated team seem determined to make it a successful place.
I would rate it 4/5

Website: The High Tech Daily

If you are a technology freak looking for the latest info about technology updates and latest happening, then you might want to stop and check out The High Tech Daily. The blog is basically an all round technology bulletin board that covers just about any topic related to technology queries, from computer graphic cards, benchmark on the latest processors, motherboards reviews, up to the price comparisons for cool gadgets like laptops, mobile phones and ipod. Technology fans should not miss out this opportunity to learn and gain valuable knowledge apart from the fun and excitement on discovering new stuff. It should be an ideal site geared towards obtaining relevant information for your tech research and if you want to impress your friends on your knowledge in this field, what better site to go other than The High Tech Daily itself.

The blog is created and run by a guy nicknamed Saggygenius from India. The site is cleverly arranged in a neat and simple archive for easy navigation. It is updated regularly so that it follows the latest trend and it allows visitors to track the latest tech progress. If you are a first time visitor, the moment you arrive at the landing page, you will be instantly thrilled and wowed by the clean and simple 3D design. The blog is customized around themes using light blue text centered around a white and plain background. The images are clear and well enhanced so that all the tiny little details can be seen clearly. Despite the heavy use of images, the blog manages to load easily even on my old PC. The site design is fully optimized and the high praises and achievements were attained without even requiring flash or moving images. It sure fulfills all the criteria on what you would expect from a technology blog.

One of my favorite entries was a very recent review done on Feb 2008 about 9600GT GeForce 3D card. It provides a simple comparison with other cards similar in its class and the facts and details were straight to the point ensuring that reader won’t get bored with long babbling. Content is also fresh and actively added every month with new information, so that bloggers will keep coming back for more. The authors also did a good job to try to communicate with readers on the blog posts so that they will feel attached to it. However, one of the weaknesses, which the author can improve on, is the notable spelling mistakes seen on some of the posts but generally this is still acceptable as it is very rare.

Overall I would say this is an excellent blog and I rate it at 4/5 for now which is good considering there is still much room for improvement. If possible, I would like to see some improvements in terms of having a personalized and eye-catching header and a logo to make it stand out among the rest of technology blogs. To sum it all, I would say this is definitely a well-researched blog and it deserves all the credits it can get.

Website: EnglandProxy.com
Review Requested: Here by Chuman

After looking at “englandproxy.com” (then blocking it from our lists - sorry I work in IT for a college lol) I must admit I do like the layout of it, very simple and easy on the eyes.

I do like the idea that its a simple click and go interface instead of having to type out facebook etc

Layout:

Easy on the eyes and colour is easy to look at (some proxy sites use black background with some horrible colour text).

Content:

Never much content on a proxy site but I must admit to actually take time to explain to people what the different types of proxy are and how they can be used is really well written and should always be included. Its nice to see a site explaining how it works / what it does instead of going “type and go”

Ease of use:

Beyond easy, proxys (at the moment) are mainly used to facebook and other social sites, but you have to (normally) scroll past loads of adverts and pointless links to get to the url box, but this one is so simple to use, any idiot (no offence to stupid people - but there are some really stupid people out there) could use it with ease.

Comments:

Im not against proxy sites, I just have to block them when I find them but I must admit it is well laid out, will leave the englandproxy.com site untouched as I need to use it for some downloads (a exploit was found on a big site which made it act like a proxy site so we had to block it). Well designed and easy to use, got to love it:

Over all:

5 out of 5 smiles

Review a Website for $50 Contest - 1st Update

Posted by Ask Salomon in Contests

Dear readers of AskSalomon,

This is the first update of the Review a Website for $50 Contest .

At the time of writing this post, there are some reviews already compeating for the $50 prize and I am going to post an extract of some of them for you to enjoy over here.

I must admit Im impressed at this blog, its rare to come across one with 100% original content with a great layout (which is user friendly)

Layout:

For a pre-set layout I must admit you have used it to its full potential, Im impressed how original and stylish it looks and I love the full use of thumbnails. Not many people use that to that extent and sometimes when they do it goes wrong but not this one.

Content:

Not the sort of thing I could spend hours reading, but I must admit again I was suprised. Well written content and all original. Normally you would only find 10% of original writing but it seems to be 100% yours. Well done on that.

Ease of use:

100% user friendly, due to the layout everything is within reach and you dont have to search constantly (like some sites)

Comments:

The only draw back I have seen is the host (no offence) but if you can get a .com or .co.uk and redirect your current to your site then I think it would be more accepted.

Over all:

Very impressed, keep it up

5 out of 5 smiles
